Steps to Becoming a Water Depot Franchisee
- Contact Water Depot
- Review Your Information Package
Review the information package sent to you and contact the Director of Franchising, Peter Strain. You will have an introductory meeting or discussion, where you will be provided with basic information about Water Depot and the franchise opportunity available to you.
- Complete Your Application
The application form will be provided to you. Complete and return to the Water Depot head office for review.
- Acceptance & Formal Introductory Meeting
Upon acceptance, you’ll be contacted by the Director of Franchising to schedule an in-person meeting.
- Complete Legal Documents
Upon a successful meeting and general agreement in principle, Water Depot will supply you with the Franchise Agreement and a full Company Disclosure document. It’s recommended that the Franchise Agreement is given to your lawyer and the Company Disclosure document is given to your accountant. The Confidentiality Agreement must be signed and completed before the release of any documentation.
You will arrange any necessary financing from your selected financial institution. When financing is in place and the Franchise Agreement and Company Disclosure documents are signed.
- Select a Location & Sign the Lease
The franchisor will select a location. Upon agreement from both parties, a lease will be negotiated and signed. All necessary rent will be the responsibility of the franchisee.
- Address Start-Up Fees
The equipment leaseholds, inventory and store advertising fee, along with first and last month’s rent and applicable taxes, will be paid by a certified cheque.
- Build & Stock Store
Water Depot will assist you in building and stocking your store, while you and your staff are trained on the computer system and all product knowledge.
- Opening Day & Beyond
You and your franchise are now ready for opening day! A date for the grand opening will be set. The goal moving forward is for you to run your store with efficiency, as the Water Depot home office helps you to achieve the highest possible level of success.
