Water also helps regulate body temperature, lubricate joints, control hunger, maintain normal bowel function, and improve the appearance of your skin.

  • Set a goal and keep track of how much water you drink each day. Each time you drink a full glass of water, make note of it until you've reached your goal for the day. Health and fitness apps often include a water tracking feature but a pen and piece of paper work just as well.
  • Invest in a clean drinking water system. Not only will you be more likely to drink fresh-tasting water, but treating water to remove contaminants and impurities is a smart, healthy choice.
