Can pure water leach minerals from our body?
No, quite the opposite has been found to occur in cellular research studies. It is a mistaken belief that drinking pure distilled or reverse osmosis water reduces valuable minerals from living human tissues. In fact by removing inorganic minerals, heavy metals, chlorine bacteria and other contaminants from water the result is improved absorption of all nutrients, including minerals, and improved elimination of wastes at the cellular level. Bottled spring water and tap water have higher total dissolved solid (TDS) counts than pure water and are less effective at transporting organic minerals to tissue cells.
